Our knowledge-building curriculum is designed to lay a robust foundation for lifelong learning. This approach centers on gradually expanding students' understanding across various subjects through structured and sequenced content. The curriculum is built on more key principles below, but the learning foundation is always the first step.

Focus on Science and Social Studies
Our lessons place a strong emphasis on science and social studies content. These subjects are crucial for developing an understanding of the natural world, historical contexts, and social structures, fostering a sense of curiosity and awareness about the world around us.
EMOTIONAL AWARENESS
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
The curriculum includes SEL topics to help students develop essential life skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Integrating SEL into daily lessons supports students' emotional and social development, ensuring a well-rounded education.

Integrated Literacy Instruction
We understand the challenge of fitting all necessary content into a school day. By integrating SEL, science, and social studies topics into literacy instruction, educators can address multiple learning goals simultaneously. This approach provides more flexibility in schedules, reduces stress for educators, and ensures comprehensive coverage of essential subjects.
PURPOSEFUL INSTRUCTION
Explicit Grammar Instruction
Our curriculum includes explicit grammar instruction, following a clear scope and sequence for each grade level. Teachers use digital slides for visual learning and student workbooks for writing responses. Read-alouds are utilized to highlight specific grammar points, and students are encouraged to identify and discuss these grammar elements. When students write their responses, they should highlight the grammar used and discuss how it was applied in their writing. This method ensures that grammar skills are reinforced through both reading and writing activities, providing practical and contextual learning experiences.
INDIVIDUAL LEARNING
Teaching by Skill Level
Teaching reading by skill level rather than grade level is essential for providing individualized instruction, addressing learning gaps, and preventing frustration. This approach builds a strong foundation, accommodates diverse learners, and encourages continuous growth, fostering a positive environment for lifelong learning and success in reading. It recognizes that students progress at different rates and ensures that each student receives appropriate support tailored to their unique needs.

Meet the Founder
Welcome! I am excited to share a bit about my journey and passion for education. I hold a Master's degree in Education and have had the privilege of working as a classroom teacher for over 10 years. My experiences in the classroom have been invaluable, allowing me to understand the joys and challenges educators face daily.
Currently, I serve as an Instructional Coach in East Hartford, Connecticut, where I work closely with teachers to enhance their instructional practices and support their professional growth. Everything I do is student-centered, ensuring that all efforts are ultimately directed toward improving student outcomes and fostering a positive learning environment.
Having firsthand experience with the complexities of teaching, I recognized the need for a comprehensive resource for literacy instruction. I wanted to create a platform that would provide teachers with high-quality, research-based instructional materials, eliminating the need for them to search for supplemental resources. This led me to develop a structured literacy platform designed to support student learning and to help educators deepen their understanding of scientific research on how children learn to read.
I am deeply passionate about education and dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential. My goal is to empower teachers with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the classroom, ultimately fostering an environment where every student can thrive.
